These bolts are nickel-plated, smooth-headed, \u0026amp; pan-headed just as in the old days. The silver bolts are inserted from the front through the post of the knob or the drawer pull \u0026amp; come with square nuts for tightening in the back. It is also possible to shorten the thru-bolts for accommodation of the material thickness (either with a thread-cutting plier tool, or very carefully cutting with a hacksaw the threads flush up against the nut, \u0026amp; then twisting the nut off to form the threads).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003e   Use only hand tools to install glass knobs on your cabinets. Power tools (or even wrenches) may cause damage to the thread or to the knobs.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003e   Insert bolt through head of knob. To tighten, hand turn only the nut on the back of the screw (this is one reason that the heads of the screws are smooth on top and do not have a slot.) Do not turn the knob itself as it may cause breakage.
