The glass is carefully set into a handsome solid brass base with a threaded shank in the back. It also comes with a 8-32 thread truss head screw which allows for mounting the knob from the back. The solid brass base is also unlacquered (the non-lacquered brass will patina naturally over time). This octagon shape cabinet knob is designed in the Late 19th Century \/ Early 20th Century style of hardware \/ Arts and Crafts style, but will match any period style up to current modern styles.
